Gov. Ron DeSantis at NCSL Republican Breakfast

From Florida Governor Ron DeSantis this morning at the Republican breakfast for NCSL (Nat'l Conference of State Legislators) in Tampa:

"Recession is when your neighbor loses his job. Depression is when you lose your job. Recovery is when Dr. Fauci loses his job."

"When did your employer become your medical custodian?"

" 'Let's go Brandon' is a critique of the media as well as President Biden. It is an acknowledgment that the media is gaslighting the American public, trying to control the narrative, but (after Afghanistan, inflation, gas prices, the southern border, and supply chain problems) the people won't be gaslit anymore."

My Take: Ron DeSantis is the real deal! Clear thinking, clear speaking, very well educated, military veteran, very experienced, husband, father... This is the second speech I've heard from him this year. He is a real leader who "never feared being great" (as introduced by the President of the Florida Senate, who has observed him at close range.)
